The conservation works here were carried out according to local traditions and skills using the local lime mortar, self-made traditional mud bricks (adobe), and burnt bricks of customized historical formats. These emergency conservation measures made possible the establishment of a firm basis for future restoration projects. Moreover, they were not only sustainable but they also gained credit within the local population because of the use of traditional materials and skills. Lastly, the surveys that were carried out during the working phase offer future colleagues extensive knowledge about the situation of historical monuments.
